IIT Guwahati Overview
The Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati is officially recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the government of India. The institute has been ranked 7th in engineering and 8th in the overall category in the NIRF India Rankings 2021.
The institute was incepted in the year 1994 and is built over a widespread area of 704 acres of land that holds all the requisite facilities that a student or faculty member requires within the campus environment during working hours.
IIT Guwahati is a public technical university that was established by the government of India and is located in the Amingaon area, North Guwahati City, in the state of Assam in India. It is the sixth Indian Institute of Technology to be established in India.
